Water Control Valves

BERMAD’s Waterworks Control Valves are automatic self-operating, driven by the inline pressure.

Controlled by hydraulic pilots and solenoids, the valves can reduce pressure, as well as pressure sustaining, flow control, pressure relief and surge protection, pump control, and more. Ensuring that the network hydraulic conditions meet the design requirements and thresholds, thus achieving safe and efficient system operation.

Ranging from 1” through 48”, the valves come with a globe, angled, or oblique flow patterns, and can be double-chambered and constructed from metal and composite. BERMAD’s Waterworks Control Valves have been leading and directing the market for 55 years.

What are Control Valves?

Control valves are an integral feature of most waterworks and irrigation applications. The valve design indicates its application – whether that be an irrigation valve, sprinkler valve, solenoid valve or regulating valve.

Typically, valves are used to switch on and off and at the same time to regulate downstream pressure. This is to achieve the best watering profile – whether being used in drip irrigation, sprinkler, or waterworks supply pipes.

Types of Control Valves

Control valves are the unsung heroes of waterworks and irrigation systems, engineered to meet specific challenges with precision and efficiency. Let’s take a closer look at some of the most common types and how they help optimize water management:

Pressure Reducing Valves

Pressure reducing valves are used to maintain consistent downstream pressure, protect systems and ensure smooth operation in applications like sprinklers or drip irrigation setups. They are used in supply lines of drinking water for hosing and full suburbs, keeping the same downstream pressure in all flow conditions.

Pressure Sustaining and Relief Valves

By maintaining upstream pressure and releasing excess when needed, these valves keep pipelines safe and water distribution stable, even under demanding conditions.

Flow Control Valves

Designed for precise regulation, flow control valves ensure the right amount of water reaches its destination—perfect for drip irrigation and greenhouse systems.

Solenoid-Controlled Valves

Ideal for automation, solenoid valves allow remote or smart control, making them a go-to solution for modern irrigation systems and zone-based water management.

Level Control Valves

Keeping water levels consistent in tanks and reservoirs, level control valves are essential for effective water storage in agricultural and industrial applications.

Each valve type is designed with specific applications in mind, ensuring you get the performance and reliability needed for efficient water management. Explore the options to find the right solution for your system!
